Library News

Have you signed up for the summer reading program yet?  It’s not just for kids!  It is for everyone.  We have a wonderful lineup of activities going on starting on Thursday, May 30th and proceeding each Thursday in June.  The kickoff is at 5:00 p.m. at Dillon Park on May 30th with a dance concert by the Cannon Art Dance Studio.  The program should run about 90 minutes.

Please stop in to either library outlet for a list of activities and please join the club.  You get a free tote bag and lots more!  There are going to be some wonderful prizes this year.  (More about those later on).

If you haven’t taken a look at our website at www.cannoncolibrary.org, please take some time to do so. There is so much to do there.  You can even apply for a library or to become a volunteer right online.  One of the best bargains around is your when you click on the TEL logo on our homepage.  There are so many resources available for free use.  One of the most exciting is the free language lessons offered there in the Powerspeak program.  There are several languages from which to choose.  Then check out the small business resource center.  These are resources we could not afford to own individually, but are available to all of us through the power of your tax dollars.

Don’t forget "Caring and Sharing” of local history and genealogy resources and information with Peggy Tate on May 27th!
