GENEALOGY
Genealogy is the study of families and the tracing of their lineages and history. Genealogists use oral traditions, historical records, genetic analysis, and other records to obtain information about a family and to demonstrate kinship and pedigrees of its members. The results are often displayed in charts or written as narratives.

  • Leave all brief cases, large bags, purses outside of  Genealogy room
  • No food or drinks allowed
  • Books and materials in genealogy collection do not circulate.
  • Books and materials in genealogy collection are not be loaned on Inter Library Loan.
  • Copies from Microflim are $.25 per page
  • Copies from Photocopier are $.15, $.25, and $.35 cents depending on the size of the paper.
  • Pay for copies at circulation desk.
  • All copyright laws apply to copying genealogy material.
  • Staff can only give mimimal assistance with genealogy research.
  • Leave all materials on genealogy table after research.
