The Friends of Adams Memorial Library is a group of volunteers who work year-round to help the professional staff at the library provide services not financed in the city and county budgets.

The library expansion and renovation project is scheduled to begin by the date of the roast. Preston Brothers Construction Company of Woodbury was awarded the contract. The completion date is by December 1, 2012.

FRIENDS OF THE ADAMS MEMORIAL LIBRARY
Good Friends Are Hard To Beat!
The Friends of Adams Memorial Library are an integral part of the success of the Cannon County Library System. They are always there to help us with financial assistance through fundraising efforts and warm human interaction when called upon to assist employees with special projects.
The local history room is staffed several days each week by skilled volunteers who assist researches from far and wide with genealogical research. The collection is constantly growing due to the many gifts and generous donations made in memory of departed friends and loved ones. Financial support from the Friends helps to make this an even more vibrant collection, known for its many wonderful resources.
Friends of the Library help staff library informational booths at local fairs and functions as well as providing funding for some of the costs of the annual summer reading program held at both library outlets. ( This year's theme is "One World, Many Stories".) The Friends of the Library was a major donor to the provision of Halloween treats for the 1328 trick-or-treaters visiting the two libraries.
During 2011 the Library will unveil the new, updated library website funded by profits from the ongoing Friends of the Library used book sale help at Adams Memorial Library. We are excited at the many new features this much appreciated gift will provide.
